Man and woman charged after break-and-enter in Vancouver

CROWN Counsel has approved charges against a man and a woman following a break-in at a residential building in Vancouver early Wednesday morning.

Shortly after 12:30 a.m., a witness at a building near Quebec Street and East 1st Avenue called 911 after seeing two people on CCTV allegedly breaking into a storage locker in the building’s underground parkade.

Vancouver Police officers responded immediately and arrested both suspects. Officers recovered property believed to have been stolen from the storage locker, as well as knives and break-in tools.

Jesse Sokol, 42, and Nikita Silverquill, 32, have each been charged with one count of break-and-enter and one count of possessing break-in instruments without a lawful excuse.
