Abbotsford Police have very good description of hit-and-run suspect and vehicle

ON Tuesday, September 29, at 7:05 p.m., Abbotsford Emergency Services were called to West Oaks Mall for the report of a hit and run involving a 59-year-old pedestrian. The vehicle involved was seen briefly stopping before leaving the scene.

After speaking with numerous witnesses and viewing CCTV footage, Abbotsford Police said on Thursday that their detectives have a very good description of the suspect and his vehicle.
The driver is described as being approximately 5’6” to 5’10”, 50-60 years old, medium build, and unshaven at the time, He was wearing tan pants. Detective Tyler Gump states, “We have a strong description of the vehicle. It’s just a matter of time before we identify the driver. We are asking the driver to do the right thing and come speak with investigators”.
As the investigation moves forward, Abbotsford Police are requesting any additional drivers with dash cam footage from September 29, between 6:50 and 8 p.m., in the West Oaks parking lot, along South Fraser Way between Canadian Tire and Gladwin Road, along Emerson Street and Simon Avenue, to call police.
The victim remains in critical but stable condition in hospital.
