ON Thursday at 3:48 p.m., Abbotsford Police patrol members were called to the intersection of Ware Street and Farrant Crescent for a reported collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

First responders provided medical aid to the 38-year-old female who had sustained critical and life-threatening injuries. She was transported to hospital.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. Members determined impairment was not a factor that led to the incident

Abbotsford Police patrol members, with the assistance of members of the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (I.C.A.R.S.), are on the scene and investigating.

Traffic has been redirected in the area due to the investigation.
