THE BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) announced on Friday that a charge of assault has been approved against Coquitlam RCMP Sgt. Antonio Guerrero Jr. in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred at the Coquitlam RCMP detachment on December 14-15, 2022.
An information charging Guerrero Jr. with one count of assault was sworn on December 14 under Port Coquitlam Provincial Court file number 110450-1.

The first appearance on this matter is scheduled for January 17, 2024, in Port Coquitlam Provincial Court.
The charges were approved by an experienced Crown Counsel with no prior or current connection with the officer.
