Attempt to kill Pannun taken “very seriously’ by India

INDIAN media on Tuesday reported that US Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard Verma said at an event in New Delhi: “I know we raised our concerns with the Government of India [about the U.S. indictment against an Indian national for his alleged involvement in the foiled plot to assassinate Khalistan advocate Gurpatwant Singh Pannun]. There is a committee of inquiry looking into the matter, and we will stay engaged with the government and look forward to its findings. And it has taken it very seriously, and we’re grateful for that.”

The event — “The long view from DC: The India-US partnership” — was hosted by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) in Delhi.
