BC Liberal MLA Halford commends local heroes in flood-damaged communities

SURREY-WHITE ROCK MLA Trevor Halford has highlighted the enormous generosity, spirit and courage of British Columbians that has been on display over the last week as catastrophic floods hit parts of the province.

In addition to applauding the hard work of first responders and community volunteers, Halford commended the many people from within his own community of Surrey who contributed their time, energy and resources, especially in the Sikh community. For example, the Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib and the Guru Nanak Food Bank gathered dozens of volunteers together to cook and deliver 3,000 meals to those stranded on highways.
