GURU Nanak Food Bank (GNFB) is holding its 5th Annual Mega Food Drive on Saturday, July 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the parking lot of Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib at 15255 68 Avenue in Surrey.
Serving over 21,000 recipients every month, GNFB is a vital support for families, seniors, students, and children facing food insecurity across the Lower Mainland. Entirely community-funded, GNFB operates with the spirit of “seva” by the community for the community without any government grants.
Last year’s Mega Food Drive collected a record 384.6 tons of food in a single day, thanks to the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteers. This year, GNFB aims to surpass that milestone to ensure no one goes hungry, especially with more families in need during the summer break.
