BC United MLA Lee calls for immediate action to address antisemitism in post-secondary institutions

BC United MLA for Vancouver-Langara and Critic for Attorney General and Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, Michael Lee, delivered a statement on Monday in the B.C. Legislature calling for the NDP government to immediately address the rising tide of antisemitism in British Columbia’s post-secondary institutions.

Drawing attention to the recent rise in antisemitic behaviour at encampments on B.C. university campuses, Lee highlighted a troubling 62 percent increase in antisemitic incidents reported by the Vancouver Police Department, criticizing the government’s silence and lack of concrete measures to tackle the increased fear and concern felt by B.C.’s Jewish community.
