Body found in residential fire in Surrey

SURREY RCMP said on Thursday that they are assisting Surrey Fire Service following a fatal residential fire in Surrey.

On Wednesday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m., Surrey RCMP received a report of a recreation trailer fire in the 8400 block of 121A Street.  When police arrived on scene, Surrey Fire Service had extinguished the fire, and a body was located in the burned trailer.

Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit (GIU) continues to work closely with the Surrey Fire Inspector as the cause of the fire is still yet to be determined.

The BC Coroner’s Service attended the scene and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
