DELTA Police say that foul play is not suspected in the case of a body that was recovered from Fraser River on Wednesday morning.
Police were called to a report of a possible body in the river. They attended the scene at the 3800-block of River Road in Ladner. The area is a commercial property.

Police recovered the dead body with the assistance of the Delta Fire Department. The person was identified, and a vehicle associated to the individual was removed.

“Although the investigation is preliminary, the death of this individual is not considered suspicious at this time,” said Cris Leykauf, spokesperson for Delta Police. She said that next-of-kin notifications are ongoing, and no further details would be released at this point.
