A man faces charges and a driving prohibition after crashing into a bus Wednesday evening.
On September 10 at around 7:20 p.m., Port Moody Police were called to a collision involving an S.U.V. and a transit bus in the 3200-block of St Johns Street. Upon arrival, it was determined the driver of the S.U.V. struck an occupied transit bus which was stopped at a bus stop. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries at scene.
The driver of the S.U.V. – a man in his 50’s – failed a roadside alcohol screening test and now faces charges under the Motor Vehicle Act, a 90-day driving prohibition and a vehicle impoundment.
Passengers of the bus were forced to board another bus and traffic was impacted for some time as both vehicles were removed from the scene.
