Canada Line service back to normal (update)

UPDATE (9:05 A.M.)

The power issue causing delays on the Canada Line between Richmond-Brighouse Station and Bridgeport Station has been resolved. Regular service has now resumed.

DUE to a power issue between Richmond-Brighouse Station and Bridgeport Station there is currently only single-track service in that area.  This means one train is moving back and forth between those stations to transport passengers.

Customers travelling from Richmond-Brighouse toward Waterfront will have to transfer at Bridgeport to continue their journey.  Similarly, customers travelling from Waterfront toward Richmond-Brighouse will have to transfer at Bridgeport to continue their journey.  Bus services and extra staff have been deployed to assist with any additional passenger volumes.

Canada Line service between Waterfront and YVR-Airport is unaffected.  Expo and Millennium Line services are also unaffected.

Customers seeking alternative routes to SkyTrain can use the TransLink Trip Planner (http://tripplanning.translink.ca) online and select “Exclude SkyTrain” under advanced search settings.  Customers can also phone our customer information desk on 604-953-3333.

The TransLink twitter account (https://twitter.com/translink) will be providing further updates.
