BC’s Indo-Canadian and Jewish communities have always enjoyed strong, mutually-beneficial relations. Indeed, our communities share a wonderful set of values: commitment to family, honour for one’s religious heritage, and devotion to education and entrepreneurship. We have struggled together in confronting racism and advancing human rights. We have maintained our vibrant cultures and practices for future generations within a diverse, multicultural Canada.
The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs is a non-partisan organization that serves as the advocacy arm of Canada’s organized Jewish community. The Centre works to propose and build support for public policy solutions in a range of important areas – including human rights, poverty, religious freedoms, and the Canada-Israel relationship. While communicating on these issues to government, media, and others, the Centre also strives to build close relationships with other cultural and faith communities on the basis of mutual understanding, shared values, and common goals.
By working together, we can strengthen our own communities and help build a better country for all Canadians.
By working together, we can we accomplish great things.
