Charges laid in Surrey homeless camp homicide

A man has been charged with second-degree murder in the homicide of Carlos Robles Palafox, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team announced on Wednesday.

On June 4, at 8:15 p.m., Palafox’s body was found in a wooded area known as “The Sanctuary”, which is located off King George Boulevard and 128th Street in Surrey. Palafox was new to the Surrey area and had come to find a place to stay. He had only limited contact with the community in this area.

IHIT took conduct of the investigation and on December 16, 35-year-old Invinceable Green was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with Palafox’s death. It is believed the two men had only briefly met before the homicide and that it was not a random incident.

Invinceable (Vince) Green

“We are specifically appealing for information about Invinceable Green, who is also known in this community as ‘Vince’,” said IHIT Sgt. Frank Jang. “We believe there are people within this community that have information about this homicide.”
