COQUITLAM RCMP are seeking witnesses and video after arresting a man for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle on Saturday.

Frontline officers responded to a report of a black Dodge Ram truck driving at a high rate of speed, with one of its wheels missing, on March 23 at approximately 5:15 a.m.

Police said that noise and sparks may have been associated with the vehicle as it drove on a rim while travelling northbound on Pinetree Way in Coquitlam.

The truck turned east on Lincoln Avenue and continued driving until it stopped for officers near Pipeline Road and Windsor Gate. The driver, a 26-year-old man, was arrested for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

The incident is currently under investigation and police are requesting anyone who witnessed this incident, or if you may have dash-cam or cellphone video, between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 within the Coquitlam City Centre area to contact Coquitlam RCMP.
