COQUITLAM RCMP are requesting assistance in identifying a suspect in two separate groping incidents that may be related.

On Monday, May 8, Coquitlam RCMP frontline officers responded to two separate reports of an unknown male approaching female victims and inappropriately touching them.

The first incident occurred on May 8 around 1 p.m. at the bus stop located on Coast Meridian Road and David Avenue in Coquitlam.

The second incident occurred at 9:10 p.m. on May 8 near the intersection of Burke Village Promenade and Soball Street in Coquitlam.

The suspect is described as an East Asian male, between 20 and30 years old, with short black hair and thick dark eyebrows.

“The nature of these incidents is concerning for both the police and the public,” said Cpl. Alexa Hodgins. “We are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the suspect, but to also encourage others to report any similar incidents to police.”
