COQUITLAM RCMP are seeking witnesses and video footage following a collision involving a pedestrian. Just before 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 27 , a frontline officer located a man in need of medical assistance near the intersection of Gordon Avenue and Christmas Way in Coquitlam.

The initial investigation indicates the man was struck by a black 2017 Audi Q5 while crossing the street. The driver was cooperative and stayed on scene. The man suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local area hospital. Alcohol and drug impairment are not believed to be factors in this collision.

“Our investigators are working to piece together what happened in the moments leading up to the collision,” said Acting Cpl. George Han, Media Relations Officer. “If you were in the area on Saturday, December 27, 2025, around 12:30 p.m., please contact us.”

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from Gordon Avenue and Christmas Way around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday December 27 to contact Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2025-33217.
