COVID-19 outbreaks at CareLife Fleetwood, Evergreen Baptist Care Society, Hilton Villa Seniors Community, Kinsmen Lodge, Kiwanis Care Centre: Fraser Health

FRASER Health on Thursday declared COVID-19 outbreaks at CareLife Fleetwood in Surrey, Evergreen Baptist Care Society in White Rock, Hilton Villa Seniors Community in Surrey, Kinsmen Lodge in Surrey, and Kiwanis Care Centre in New Westminster.

Seven residents at CareLife Fleetwood, four residents and 15 staff members at Evergreen Baptist Care Society, three residents and nine staff members at Hilton Villa Seniors Community, five residents and four staff members at Kinsmen Lodge, and eight residents and nine staff members at Kiwanis Care Centre have tested positive for COVID-19.

CareLife Fleetwood is a long-term care facility that is owned and operated by Fraser Health. Evergreen Baptist Care Society is a long-term care facility that is owned and operated by Baptist Housing. Hilton Villa Seniors Community is a long-term care facility that is owned and operated by Park Place Seniors Living. Kinsmen Lodge is a long-term care facility that is owned and operated by Whalley and District Senior Citizens Housing Society. Kiwanis Care Centre is a long-term care facility that is owned and operated by Kiwanis Care Society.

The residents and staff members are currently in self-isolation at their homes.

Enhanced control measures have been put in place at CareLife Fleetwood. Fraser Health said it is working to identify anyone who may have been exposed and is taking steps to protect the health of all staff, residents and families.

Fraser Health has worked with Evergreen Baptist Care Society, Hilton Villa Seniors Community, Kinsmen Lodge, and Kiwanis Care Centre to support the implementation of enhanced control measures. It is also working with the sites to identify anyone who may have been exposed, and is taking steps to protect the health of all staff, residents and families.
