Delta: Extension and deferral options for 2020 property taxes

IN order to provide financial relief to residents, Delta Mayor George Harvie and Delta Council have approved a 90-day extension to pay property taxes without late penalties. The due date for this year’s property taxes is July 2.

The last day for payment of property taxes with no penalty is September 30. A 10% penalty will be levied to all accounts with outstanding balances on October 1. Residents who are able to pay by the due date of July 2, are encouraged to do so.

While City Hall remains closed, there are many safe ways to pay property taxes, including:

✅ At your financial institution
✅ By mail
✅ At the secure drop box located outside the entrance to City Hall
✅ At the secure drop box located at the east entrance of the North Delta Recreation Centre at 11415 84th Avenue, available Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
✅ Online by credit card at deltaonline.ca

Eligible residents can apply and claim their Home Owner Grant online via eHog online or submit the completed form to Delta’s Taxation Office.
