ON Tuesday (October 28) at about 5 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 17900-block of 40th Avenue and found evidence of a marijuana grow-op and a possible shooting at the location. However, no victims were located.
Twenty minutes later, police were advised that two people had been located in a parking lot across from Surrey Memorial Hospital (137 B Street and 96th Avenue) suffering from gunshot wounds. The two individuals were taken to hospital in serious condition.
Surrey RCMP said the two incidents are still in the early stages of investigation, but early indications are that they are related. The two male victims, in their 30s, are known to police.
Surrey RCMP’s General Investigations Unit is currently investigating.
