Fatal motor vehicle collision in Langley

ON Thursday, April 9 at approximately 4:57 p.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the 3300-block of 264 Street.

First responders from the Township of Langley Fire Department, British Columbia Ambulance Service and the Langley RCMP immediately attended to the area.

“Tragically, despite life-saving efforts, one individual succumbed to their injures at the scene,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of Langley RCMP. “The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) have been deployed to assist with the investigation.”

Road closures are in effect in the immediate area and are expected to remain in place for several hours while investigators continue their investigation. Motorists and other road users are asked to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
