ABBOTSFORD Police patrol officers responded on October 8 at 6:02 a.m. to a reported collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 34000-block of Gladys Avenue.
Officers identified a 60-year-old female suffering from life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries.
The driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with the police. Initial indicators do not suggest impairment as a factor in the crash, police said.
The affected stretch of Gladys Avenue remains closed as investigators, with the assistance of the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (I.C.A.R.S.), gather evidence to determine the factors leading up to the crash.
