ON Tuesday, October 21 at approximately 6:42 a.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision located near 264 Street and 0 Avenue.

RCMP officers alongside personnel from the British Columbia Ambulance Service and Township of Langley Fire Department arrived on scene and located the pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle.

“Despite immediate life saving measures, the individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of Langley RCMP.

Road closures are in effect in the immediate area and motorists are asked to avoid the area. Motorists can expect disruptions to last several hours.
