NEW Westminster Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian-involved collision that took place on Sunday, December 10 at approximately 1:45 p.m. Patrol officers were called to the 700 block of Princess Street for an unresponsive pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle. The driver remained at the scene.

Investigators from the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service and the New Westminster Police Department Major Crime Unit attended the scene.

“This is a tragic event and our thoughts are with the family of this individual,” said Sgt. Andrew Leaver. “We have a large team of investigators working together to determine how this happened, but we are still in the early stages at this point.”
