A female suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting inside a residence in Surrey’s Fleetwood area on Friday evening.
At approximately 7:20 on December 15, Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a shot fired inside a residence in the 16100-block of 92nd Avenue. An injured female was transported to hospital by ambulance.
According to the initial investigation, a firearm was discharged in the residence, striking a 21-year-old female. A 21-year-old male, who is a resident of Surrey, has been taken into custody.
Officers are conducting neighbourhood canvassing and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information. The investigation is still in its early stages but initial indications are that all the persons involved are known to each other.
