ON Saturday, July 12, Langley RCMP responded to a woman in distress in the 20300-block of Fraser Highway.
Frontline officers located a 33-year-old woman suffering from severe burns. She was immediately transported to a local area hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Following a thorough investigation, police confirmed the incident had taken place at the transit bus loop near 204 Street and Logan Avenue. On Tuesday, July 15, frontline officers located and arrested Samantha Elizabeth Florence Hall, 25, in connection with the alleged assault.
Hall has since been charged with aggravated assault and remains in custody pending her next court appearance.
“Officers from our Serious Crime Unit worked tirelessly for the past several days to advance this investigation,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of Langley RCMP on Wednesday. “Conventional police techniques played a key role in moving this case forward. Our investigation into the circumstances leading up to this serious crime remains ongoing.”
