– Fraser Health declares COVID-19 outbreaks at Mountain View Manor, Queen’s Park Care Centre, and Royal City Manor

 

FRASER Health on Tuesday declared a COVID-19 outbreak over at New Vista Care Centre in Burnaby.

With the implementation of comprehensive strategies to prevent and respond to COVID-19 in care facilities, there are no longer any COVID-19 cases at this location.

Fraser Health declared COVID-19 outbreaks at Mountain View Manor in Delta, Queen’s Park Care Centre in New Westminster, and Royal City Manor in New Westminster.

Four residents and six staff members at Mountain View Manor, 15 residents and 16 staff members at Queen’s Park Care Centre, and 13 residents and 23 staff members at Royal City Manor have tested positive for COVID-19.

Mountain View Manor is a long-term care facility that is owned and operated by Fraser Health. Queen’s Park Care Centre is a long-term care facility that is owned and operated by Fraser Health. Royal City Manor is a long-term care facility that is owned and operated by Revera.

The residents and staff members are currently in self-isolation at their homes.

Enhanced control measures have been put in place at Mountain View Manor and Queen’s Park Care Centre. Fraser Health is working to identify anyone who may have been exposed and is taking steps to protect the health of all staff, residents and families.

Fraser Health has worked with Royal City Manor to support the implementation of enhanced control measures. It is also working with the site to identify anyone who may have been exposed, and is taking steps to protect the health of all staff, residents and families.
