ON Wednesday at at 10:30 p.m., Abbotsford Police patrol officers responded to a 911 call of an assault in the 32900-block of South Fraser Way. Officers located a man suffering from serious life-threatening injuries.

Emergency medical care was provided to the victim and he was transported to hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries. Police said they are in the preliminary stages of the investigation. Those suspected to be involved in this incident are currently in police custody.

The Abbotsford Police Major Crime Unit will be transitioning this investigation to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), police said.
