SURREY RCMP Assistant Commissioner Brian Edwards and Surrey Police Service (SPS) Chief Constable Norm Lipinski will be addressing the media on Tuesday to discuss the initial deployment of SPS officers in the City.

By the end of the week, RCMP members are expected to be riding along with SPS officers. Edwards and Lipinski are expected to explain the whole procedure so that residents may be aware that there will be officers donning two different uniforms.

However, all calls by the public for response will continue to go through the RCMP.
