SURREY Police Service (SPS) announced on Wednesday that the pedestrian, a man in his 60’s, who was involved in the July 11 collision with a TransLink bus has passed away.

On July 11 at approximately 9:41 p.m., SPS frontline officers responded to a report from BCEHS of a seriously injured pedestrian lying on the roadway at the intersection of 128 Street and 96 Avenue. Officers located the pedestrian who was receiving emergency medical treatment from BCEHS paramedics. They also located a TransLink bus and driver at the scene. The pedestrian was transported to hospital for treatment of potentially life-threatening injuries.

SPS’s Collision Investigation Unit remains in charge of the ongoing investigation. There are no investigative updates available, police said.
