THE Integrated Homicide Investigation Team was called to probe a suspicious sudden death at a residence in Surrey on Saturday, police announced on Sunday.
Surrey RCMP responded to a call for assistance by BC Ambulance for a sudden death in the early hours of Saturday. Upon arrival, officers learned a 57-year-old male had been found dead by his roommates. Police then arrested one male in connection with the incident.
This male was interviewed by IHIT investigators and has since been released without charges pending further investigation.
Police are requesting anyone who heard an altercation in the 13800 block of Hansen Road in Surrey between 1 and 4 .am. on Friday, April 17 to contact IHIT investigators.
Sgt. Stephanie Ashton said: “It is our belief the victim and suspect knew each.”
