Jasmit Badesha who was killed in Toronto was arrested in 2018 Edmonton fentanyl bust

JASMIT Badesha, 25, of Mission, B.C., who was shot and killed in Toronto last Sunday was arrested in a massive Edmonton fentanyl bust in 2018, reports Toronto Sun.

The Sun said that Badesha was an associate of the Brothers Keepers gang and went by the street name Drilldoc, which was also his nom du rap.

He was one of seven people arrested in connection to a drug-trafficking ring moving fentanyl and other drugs between B.C. and Calgary and Edmonton. Police seized 394 grams of purple fentanyl with an estimated street value of $98,000, several other drugs, paraphernalia and cash.

On March 3 at approximately 11:37 p.m., Toronto Police responded to a call for a shooting in the Bergamot Drive and Rexdale Boulevard area.

It was reported that a man in his 20s had been shot. He was located outside near the parking lot of a residential building. Life-saving measures were performed, however, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Investigators are appealing to witnesses, anyone who has dash-camera or video surveillance, or anyone who has information on the suspect vehicle and occupant(s) at the time of the shooting to contact police.
