THE Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) announced on Tuesday that it has made an arrest in the homicide of Nicholas Ball from March 29 in Langley, with charges being laid in consultation with the BC Prosecution Service (BCPS).
On March 29 at 12:10 p.m., Langley RCMP were called to a wooded area in the 7400-block of 208 Street in Langley. Frontline officers located a 29-year-old deceased man, later identified as Nicholas Ball of Langley. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) took conduct of the investigation.
During the course of the investigation, police identified a suspect who was believed to be responsible for Ball’s death.
On August 23, 40-year old Jason Griffiths of Langley was arrested in connection to the murder of Ball. In consultation with the BC Prosecution Service (BCPS), charges of second-degree murder were laid against Griffiths.
No further information is available as this case is now before the courts, IHIT said.
