THE Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) announced on Thursday that Justin Bos has been arrested in the in the March homicide of Cody Mostat in Langley with charges of second-degree murder being laid.
On March 25 at 8:49 p.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of an unconscious man in the 20400-block of 88 Avenue in Langley. Officers attended the scene and attempted life-saving efforts, but the man died on scene.
The victim was identified as 30-year-old Mostat of Langley. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) took conduct of the investigation and worked closely in partnership with the Langley RCMP, the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC) and the Integrated Forensic Identification Section (IFIS).
Following a six-month investigation, IHIT investigators identified Bos as a suspect in Mostat’s homicide.
On September 21, Bos was arrested by IHIT for Mostat’s murder. He was taken into custody safely and without incident.
On September 22, the BC Prosecution Service (BCPS) laid a second-degree murder charge against Bos in relation to the homicide.
“Today’s outcome was the result of six months of hard work and perseverance by the investigating team,” said IHIT Sgt. Timothy Pierotti. “We’re thankful to our partners for their ongoing dedication.”
