ON Monday, August 11 at approximately 8:25 a.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision located near the 25600-block of 56 Avenue.

Officers determined that a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and a commercial flat deck truck were involved.

“Sadly, the driver of the SUV sustained catastrophic injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of Langley RCMP. “Several witnesses along with the driver of the flat deck truck remained on scene and are fully cooperating with the investigation.”

Investigation into this incident remains ongoing.

“Unfortunately, this is the third fatal motor vehicle collision that has occurred in Langley within the past eight days; therefore, we are urging all motorists to adhere to the rules of the road and remain vigilant during their travels,” said Sharoom.
