RICHMOND RCMP are currently on scene a kilometre east of 17100 Cambie Road for a report of a deceased male located by the public.

On August 7, at approximately 9:32 a.m., Richmond RCMP were called to the scene of an unresponsive male found in the ditch. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male who may have been killed during what appears to be a shooting incident. The investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this incident is targeted and does not appear to be a random act.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in and will be working in partnership with the Richmond RCMP.
