A Vancouver Police homicide investigation has led to the arrest of a suspect in the 2023 murder of a man in the Downtown Eastside.

On November 21, 2023, just after 3 p.m., Stephen Crock, 34, was found stabbed on the sidewalk near East Hastings and Columbia. He was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries.

Following a year-long investigation, Lyle Price, 23, was arrested this week by VPD officers. The BC Prosecution Service has approved one count of second-degree murder against Price.

Price remains in custody until his next court appearance.
