ON Monday, July 7 at approximately 5:32 p.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of shots fired near Meadows Edge Park in Langley.

Frontline officers attended the scene and located evidence consistent with a shooting. A 48-year-old man has been transported to a local area hospital for further assessment, police said.

“The investigation is still in its early stages and police are working to determine the possible motive for the shooting,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of Langley RCMP. Motorists and other road users can expect road closures in the area as we continue our investigation.
