VANCOUVER Police are investigating a stabbing in the Granville Entertainment District, which left a 42-year-old man with life-threatening injuries on Sunday night.

Officers patrolling near Granville and Smithe streets were flagged down by the victim around 9:40 p.m. on Sunday after he was attacked. The man had serious injuries and was rushed to hospital. He is expected to recover.

Police believe the victim and suspect were known to each other.
