DEVINDER Shory, MP for Calgary Northeast, is accompanying Prime Minister Stephen Harper to the U.K. this week to participate in a bilateral trade mission.
Shory said: “I am particularly honoured to accompany the Prime Minister and Minister for International Trade, Ed Fast, to promote new trade and investment opportunities between Canada and the UK, including our historic trade agreement with the European Union.
“As a long-standing member of the House Committee on International Trade I look forward to once again promoting Canada overseas as a solid trading partner and a great place to do business. I am also proud to serve alongside a Prime Minister who recognises that Canada must aggressively pursue trading relationships globally to maintain our competitive advantage on the world stage and deliver strong economic performance at home translating into real jobs and long term prosperity for Canadians.”
Shory will be in the U.K. September 2-5.
