Multiple shots fired at West Vancouver home

WEST Vancouver Police are investigating after multiple shots were fired at a residence in the British Properties early Sunday.

West Vancouver Patrol officers were called to a report of shots fired at a home in the 2600-block of Finch Hill at approximately 3:30 a.m.  Multiple shots had struck the home, resulting in both surface and interior damage.  Suspects fled the area before police arrived.

Police said no one was injured despite several people having been at the home earlier for a house party.  Individuals responsible for the shooting have not been identified or located.

A possible motive for the shooting has not yet been determined. Forensic investigators spent several hours at the scene gathering evidence.

The investigation by the West Vancouver Police Criminal Investigation Section remains in very early stages.

Police said that at this point, there is no indication that the attack was random or represented a risk to the public outside of the targeted residence.
