THE New Westminster Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage after a man was found unconscious with serious injuries near Begbie and Carnarvon streets. The man was sent to a local area hospital and was treated for life-altering injuries.

The incident happened on December 23 at approximately 11:15 pm. The New Westminster Police Department Major Crime Unit has learned the victim was assaulted by someone who was with two other people at the time of the assault.

After the assault, the group left the area in a vehicle, and investigators are hoping by sharing video of this vehicle, a suspect will be identified.

“We’re looking for information on this vehicle,” said Sgt. Justine Thom on Wednesday. “A blue, four door Pontiac Sunfire with black rims.”
