THE 7th annual CAN Pro-Am Hockey Tournament will take place October 18–19 at the North Surrey Sport and Ice Complex. The tournament brings together NHL alumni and recreation or corporate teams in support of the Canucks Autism Network.

“We’re proud to welcome the CAN Pro-Am Hockey Tournament back to the North Surrey Sport and Ice Complex,” said Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke. “This exciting event not only brings our community together through a shared love of hockey but also supports an incredible cause. I encourage everyone to come out, cheer on the players, and help make a difference for families across B.C. through the Canucks Autism Network.”

Proceeds from the event directly support the delivery of adapted sports and recreation programs for individuals on the autism spectrum across British Columbia. The two-day event provides a platform for the Canucks Autism Network to expand program capacity and promote inclusion and acceptance among both public and corporate audiences.

“Our mission at Canucks Autism Network is to build inclusive communities where Autistic individuals can thrive. That’s why it’s so meaningful to partner with the City of Surrey, a community that truly shares our commitment to inclusion and accessibility,” said Ryan Yao, director of development at Canucks Autism Network. “The CAN Pro-Am, presented by Dallas Watt Demo, unites the hockey community for a great cause, raising vital funds to ensure every Autistic individual and family who joins our network can find the support, programs, and sense of belonging they deserve.”

The tournament kicks off with draft night taking place on October 17 at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver. The more money each team raises, the higher they get to draft NHL alumni the night before the tournament commences.

Over the weekend participants will enjoy three games at North Surrey Sport and Ice Complex, access to team dressing room, personalized equipment, and a great spectator atmosphere with tickets available by donation.
