NORTH Vancouver RCMP are investigating a road rage incident in which one person suffered critical injuries.
On Saturday, October 4 at approximately 3 p.m., police received multiple reports of a road rage incident near Boulevard Crescent and East 21st Street. It is alleged that a grey Subaru and a white Jeep were involved in a dispute over merging. During the interaction, the occupant of the Jeep exited their vehicle and was struck by the grey Subaru. Multiple witnesses reported the incident to police.
Frontline officers responded immediately and took the driver of the Subaru into police custody. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition.
The suspect is facing multiple charges in relation to the incident and has since been released with several police imposed conditions.
“This was a traumatic incident for the people who witnessed it,” said Cpl. Mansoor Sahak, Media Relations Officer for North Vancouver RCMP, on Sunday. “We are continuing to assess the condition of the victim, which may impact the nature of the charges as the investigation progresses.”
