ON Sunday, June 11 at approximately 11:15 p.m., Delta Police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 11800-block of 80 Avenue. Officers learned that an unknown suspect had fired a firearm during the dispute.

A short time later, one person arrived at a local hospital with a minor gunshot wound.  The person has since been treated and released from hospital.

The motive for the disturbance and shooting has not been identified, police said on Monday.

Investigators are conducting witness and video canvasses.
