ONTARIO: Manvir Singh Sandhu of Brampton arrested and charged with sexual assault

ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged 33-year-old Manvir Singh Sandhu of Brampton with one count of sexual assault and indecent act.

On Friday, December 31 at 10 p.m., a female was walking on neighbourhood sidewalks and trails in the area of Torbram Road and Peter Robertson Boulevard in Brampton when a lone male suspect approached her from behind. The suspect sexually assaulted the female, then exposed himself before fleeing the area. The victim did not sustain any injuries.

Investigators identified the suspect as Sandhu and on Saturday, January 9, he was arrested and charged.

He was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on January 9.
