ONTARIO: Peel Regional Police looking for South Asian suspect in Mississauga incident

PEEL Region Police’s investigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male.

On Thursday, May 31, at approximately 6:25 p.m., police responded to the area of Tenth Line West and Thomas Street in the City of Mississauga for a shooting.

On June 1, police issued a warrant of arrest for Awais Khan, a 20-year-old male from Hamilton, for numerous firearms offences.

Photos that were released on Friday are of a male that got into a vehicle with Awais Khan and left the area during the incident.

The male is described as South Asian, 5’10, 175 lbs, with black hair. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a white stripe across the front and black pants.
