SURREY RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Monday in the Cloverdale area
On May 27 at approximately 4:40 p.m., police responded to a report of a fatal motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 10 (56 Avenue) and 184 Street. An Acura sedan was westbound on Highway 10, making a southbound, left turn onto 184 Street, when it was struck by a Dodge Ram pickup that was traveling eastbound on Highway 10. The subsequent collision caused significant damage to both vehicles.
The drivers of both the Acura and the Dodge Ram were taken to local area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger of the Acura suffered major injuries and was declared deceased at scene by BC Emergency Health Services.
All parties remained at scene and are cooperating with the investigation. Alcohol has been ruled out as a contributing factor. The investigation is still in the early stages and police are still on scene.
