Pedestrian-involved hit-and-run in Surrey’s Whalley

ON December 16 at 4:51 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle in the 13300-block of Old Yale Road.

The suspect vehicle, a Mint Green Dodge Caravan, was westbound on Old Yale Road when it struck the pedestrian. The vehicle was last seen fleeing westbound on Old Yale Road from the 133 Street intersection.

An adult female pedestrian was transported to a local area hospital with severe injuries.

Police are currently on scene canvassing for witnesses and video. Anyone with more information, including dashcam footage in the area of Old Yale Road, from 132 Street to King George Boulevard, between 4:45 p.m. and 5:15 p.m., is asked to call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 2022-190767.

Surrey RCMP are also asking motorists to avoid the area of Old Yale Road (100 Avenue), in the area of City Centre Mall, for the foreseeable future.
