Pedestrian seriously injured in multi-vehicle collision in Surrey

ON Saturday, January 4 at approximately 10:15 p.m., Surrey Police Service (SPS) and Surrey Fire Service responded to a reported collision in the area of 75 Avenue near 124 Street. Surrey Fire Service personnel arrived on scene first and provided life-saving care to a seriously injured male pedestrian.

It is believed that this man was standing between parked vehicles which were struck by a Maserati travelling eastbound on 75 Avenue.  A second individual who was inside a stopped / parked vehicle suffered less serious injuries, but was also transported to hospital.

The occupant(s) of the Maserati fled immediately following the collision. SPS officers are investigating the crash and traffic in the area will be impacted for several hours.
